I think it’s about relationships. The PFA knows its players make money from playing for the premier league, FA and UEFA. Notice how nobody is complaining to those organisations. FIFA on the other hand is just a blood sucking menace if you’re the richest players in the so of. FIFA’s real value is to the small countries who get technical and financial assistance

it's also about value. The League Cup as lame as it is does fulfil a certain value that an expanded world club cup does not.
