Was chatting to James about Emile a couple of days ago and he said this, which I think we'd all agree with:
"It’s a cut throat business, and I’m all for it if it improves the team".
I guess the key bit is ensuring Emile's departure does actually facilitate the improvement of our team.
As I've already said though, whilst I feel incredibly sad about his leaving, I do think there's probably a good reason Arteta has decided he can't count on him anymore. That we can't see it doesn't mean it's not there. Although one of the factors that might clue us in is the work that Martin Odegaard gets through game after game after game. Not sure Emile has ever demonstrated that capacity, or availability.
