One good thing about them getting penalised is that Pep will probably never be inducted into the PL Hall of Fame. Going to be Wenger and Ferguson forever in there and no one else, as it should be. Ranieri can have a spot too.

This bullshit has all taken way too long. The league should have hit City with a large points penalty, asterisked the Mancini–Aguero title, and fined them heavily in 2023. We'd also have won the title then which all things considered—we've been a hair's breadth from that anyway—wouldn't have been unfair. The league is demonstrating it can't handle the consequences of regulating itself.

The UAE would still have to sell that crude into a general market that can absorb their ability to punish the UK in that way with a fractional or negligible price margin. Seems this is both why organisations like OPEC exist but still can't necessarily throw their weight around that easily.

Burnwinter I imagine it would be how some minor penalty will ultimately be negotiated. Something like Chelsea would be much more likely than things like points deductions or stripped titles.

Yeah. I would be shocked if they got more than about 10 points. They are currently 13 points ahead of Chelsea. So even a 15 point deduction in-season would still leave them in the Champions League spots and not materially change their condition. A 2 window registration ban will help quell them in the near future, but they will still complete transfers per normal and loan players out until they can register. We won't get anything satisfying.

daredevil Marmoush is a good player, I think he's just not Pep's kind of player. Scored 8 goals after joining in January so hasn't been that bad. Not sure what has happened this season
