Sicario2 - Tier 1 Our window of winning big trophies is smaller than we think. Big players won’t stay with us forever if we don’t win anything. We have a two year window
This worries me less than it did a year ago when we finished the season crumbling. We don't have many important players who won't feel a sting of unfinished business after yesterday.
A risk to morale this summer is that we'll likely move on a handful of lovable or local players who've been along on the journey: whatever the detailed opinions, Nketiah, Jesus, Nelson, Smith Rowe, Ramsdale, Zinchenko are all fair shouts for a transfer.
It's not all bad for the rest to see that the standard is high and they're not necessarily safe, but anyone who does leave should be treated with the maximum possible respect.
We won't really get a feel for what continuation of our recent bloody-minded resolve Arteta will be able to haul into next season until the rubber hits the road again. However, there's no sign at all of dissent, nor of any player losing faith in the Project™.
There have also been positive sounds from KSE. It sounds like they're ready to push on and nett another £100–200m loss this summer. That's the minimum that will be needed, along with decent sales. By the looks of it, we'll be on the edge of FFP and PSR by the time this squad is done.
