You can see that now we have people he trusts at the club they have no problem backing us and in pressure situations he will hold his nerve. A lot of fans and pundits wanted Arteta out but the Kroenke's knew the work he was doing behind the scene and put his trust in the management.

This club is probably the family legacy not a play thing or just an investment for them. The best is yet to come, out of all the owners I think we have one of the best.

In my opinion the money came out when two things happened: they'd gotten Usmanov all the way out meaning they'd wholly own the dividends of any extra capital thrown in, and l'ancien régime of Gazidis thoroughly failed to reinvent itself.

That's when they sent in bagman Lewis and started this process. We're relatively lucky with KSE for the moment: they have buckets of cash, they know sports organisations well, and no one's sanctioning them.

I suspect it means a fair bit more to Josh Kroenke, as the Project™ has been made his baby. He must want it to succeed, as what else is there as the son of a couple of billionaires?

But only up to a point. So long as the mood's good he'd probably love to have Abramovich status around London. If the worm turns we'll learn more.

I think it does, of course the money side is important but I don't see them like the Chelsea or Glazers who are purely in it for the investment value before they flip and move on. They are long term investors who are in it for the long term imo.

Also Josh seems to have personal control of the Arsenal whereas Stan possibly is more concentrated on the American teams.

It might do. Arsenal is an institution recognised across the globe because it plays a global game. I don't think American sports cut through in the same way - at least they don't with me!

I don't mind this though. Of course I'm not rosy-eyed, but we don't need to huff and puff moralising about billionaire football owners. Pick a random specimen and if you're lucky enough it's not one hundred per cent reptile, the remainder is usually cockroach.

For us as fans, the good news is the Kroenkes have bags of cash, they're rationally bankrolling the objective of major trophies, and they're not (any longer) unduly hindering Arsenal on or off the pitch with bad decisions, weird financial voodoo or shitty vibes. They don't give me the sense they're worse people than David Dein.

They could be the Glazers, Moshiri, Abramovich, Usmanov, the Forest nutter, Levy, Boehlly, or any other gold-plated grifters or morons who happened to be sitting on a hoard. For now we're relatively fortunate.

So long as the money tap is on, I'm slightly more worried about the efficiency of our squad management in relation to FFP and PSR.
