Xhaka really bossed this game. World class player.
One of the worst Italy sides I've seen. They were absolutely dominated.
Jeez Ibrahim Afellay is in good nick for his age
Pepe LeFrits Jeez Ibrahim Afellay is in good nick for his age
Didn't watch any of yesterday's game, but what am I missing? Was there a lookalike or something in one of the games yesterday? Because I doubt he's still playing and even if he were, he plays for Holland who didn't play yesterday.
Without Calafiori and Jorginho there are nobody to start the attacking sequence through the lines from the back for Italy
Clrnc also no defensive awareness. With those two first goal doesn’t happen. One of them sees the space opening in the box
MistaT I dunno, think he had better options than what he put out there. Very poor setup imo.
And they actually looked decent in their first group game.
Danes actually passing quite well but their moves are breaking down with Hoijlund.
Good win for Germany, some nervous moments but thought they
Unlucky for Havertz, another day he could have had a hatrick, a real menace up top .
Nagelsmann dropped player of the year in Germany Wirtz and showing he isn’t afraid to make changes when it was clear in the game against the Swiss they struggled. Happy to communicate clearly why he’s done that as well.
Southgate needs to grow a pair and make a tough decision as well.

He's a pundit on Dutch TV now. Looks about 15 still.
awooga83 I'm an Arsenal and England fan and Saka has done okay but like most of the team the last few games he's not been outstanding so people looking towards a player that has a decent season and has only made a cameo but looked a little more impactful then I can see why that happens and it doesn't really impact what Saka is from our perspective. Even would give him a break which domestically I would welcome
Think it also just plays into the lazy "Arsenal are bottlers" narrative and "why is this player who only knows losing in the side?" That he missed the last penalty last time just reinforces it for people who don't actually watch the guy.
invisibleman18 yeah, people like Rio Ferdinand. Fuck them.
I think these guys do it for social media engagement but I wouldn’t put it past them to be genuinely be thick. Which is why none of these guys will make it in management.
JazzG Rio is genuinely clueless
The mania over Palmer is blowing me away a bit. He had a fine sub appearance but it was nothing special. Saka has been one of England’s better players, glad he starts.
England's defence needs to take their heads out of their asses.. But WTF is with this ref? He gave 2 bullshit yellows in like 5 minutes, the second one was never ever a yellow. And neither was the one he just gave against Slovakia. He is very card happy.
Very card happy ref.
This England team is garbage. Horrible football. Slovakia's passing is quicker, shorter, and with more risk.
Kel Varnsen yep, pointless talking about individual players while the tactics are decided by a football terrorist
Slovakia is so well organised and play so well
