Saka had a very quiet 2nd half to be fair. Bowen did more there inside his first minute than Bukayo has done in nearly 30. Foden deserves to be replaced too though.

The gaps in England's squad are weird. Feels like they have regressed in the last 2 years. TAA and Gallagher are pretty poor options for partners for Rice

That was terrible by England. They looks decent in the first half and then when put under a little pressure, they practically curled into a ball. Rice needs more help in the midfield... TAA is not the answer. The defence was not that great either.

England need a proper coach. Foden and that entire left side useless all game. A good coach pulls Foden and Trent off at half time , puts a real midfielder in there and gets someone who can stay wide and cause them a problem on the left.

Foden occupies the spaces Kane & Bellingham play in, bottom line is England don’t need him there so they need to make a tough decision on him.

Bellingham, Rice & Saka England’s stand out players, Guehi was ok too.

JazzG kane stayed noticeably higher, didn't do his usual false 9 work, in order to give foden and bellingham the space to operate

feels like foden is a pass ans move player, and england aren't a pass and move team that plays between the lines well, so he's always going to struggle

JazzG I think thats spot on and its why I'd put Gordon in instead. He's not as big a star, not even as good a player but he will do similar on the left with what Saka and Bowen did on the right. Did Foden play a single cross all night? A through ball? A pass that wasn't straight back into midfield? He was completely ineffective. England can't afford to have Foden and Kane both hanging around waiting for a chance to come.

Did not watch the match (2am) but watched the extended highlights … looked like the biggest issue for England was the midfield–forward link and limited chance creation. Pickford doesn't impress me and he looked absolutely relieved at the final whistle.

Yup. Been saying this about the guy. It doesn’t take away from the fact that he has elite movement and ball striking. But neutrals need the ability to differentiate player effects and team effects when evaluating talents.
