Yeah, a ticket for the treatment room. My God, no thanks. Elite winger? Never scored more than 10 goals in any season he has ever played in his career. Has played more than 24 league games once, and that was like 4 seasons ago. Would be shocked and frankly disappointed if this has any truth to it. Hard pass for me. (and from what im reading, PSG is the only team to show actual interest)

Mirth wouldn't take him. Amazing that Bayern have had to depend on Coman, Gnabry and Sane in the last few years. They each end up with 2/3 of a season missed at some point or consistently.

Clrnc you could make anyone look decent in one of those highlight reels. He wasn't good for Newcastle. That was 6 years ago though, he's learned a lot since then.

Real Sociedad have not received an offer from Arsenal for Merino.

Arteta is enamoured with the player but the club are still considering whether to push ahead with a transfer.

Real Sociedad would like to keep both Zubimendi and Merino but, if he declines Sociedad's offer to extend, they will have little choice but to sell. Merino would cost in the region of €30m.

Arsenal are long-term admirers of Zubimendi but decided against pursuing a deal and shifted their focus onto signing a different profile of midfielder, one that Merino fits.

Arsenal's priority is to sign a midfielder, Merino or an alternative.

Arsenal are hoping to sign a forward but that would most probably require further sales to happen.

i really like that we have made the space for Saka, Nketiah, Nelson, ESR and Martinelli to prove themselves in attack, and Saka has emerged as a great talent.
but i believe Edu/Arteta have bought only Jesus, Marquinhos and Trossard (and to some extent Havertz) as forwards since joining this team 4 1/2 years ago. which feels nowhere near enough in that time. we definitely should've been able to unearth one other Jesus/Trossard level forward by now
