i'm not down with the whole city are "cheating" thing. i've watched clubs waste a shit ton of money on shitty players, including us. it's how you spend the money. if they beat us it's because they are better. i'm more concerned about the cheating for clubs like united by the higher ups (they can't help united being shit right now, but they want to) and uefa with the spanish clubs. PGMOL is a much bigger problem than city getting bloated sponsorships.

I'm happy to agree they're cheats and frauds through and through, fuck them and their dodgy deals, the 115 charges are just the equivalent of Al Capone getting done for tax evasion. But as far as this season goes, we've got them on the ropes, they're hanging on for a points decision.

I'll have a moan if City get the better of a couple of game-changing calls before season's end, but thing is, I'll wait for that to happen before I wear my teeth down.

The Arsenal support's hair shirt brigade wouldn't be talking Arsenal down with such absolute misery if they weren't quietly terrified of the fact we're still in it.

Burnwinter What matters to me currently is beating Bournemouth, then United. Just imagine watching Everton run out onto the Emirates pitch on the telly in a couple of weeks with the league still undecided.

Tam We are literally competing with City. Literally. We could finish on 89 and them on 91 at best - which incidentally I don't think they will. The challenge for Arteta is to maintain that from season to season, but in the here and now we're direct and dangerous rivals to their top spot.

I’m trying to reconcile that with City winning the the quadruple last year and still in contention for a double this year. Which other premier league club is getting anywhere near this consistent level of output? There is a big gap between what that team is able to achieve and what everyone else is able to achieve.

I think we are best positioned to get there, but we need a few more pieces without losing key players to do it.

And lets be honest, we have a fantastic core of players, and we are totally 'on the up'. Unlike before when we had to beg players to come here, i think players would be more likely to WANT to come here because we are well placed to win things, and maybe one or two of those players are the ones that push us over the edge (if we don't win this year).

Thought Martinelli would come back in after Trossard stinker in the NLD. Players on the fringes normally only get 1 or 2 chances to fail.

Partey has looked better in his last two games in that he hasn't been actively bad, but I don't really think he's been actively good either. I haven't seen anything to make me convinced he's better than Jorginho. Tomiyasu hasn't covered himself in glory the past two games either.

No problem with starting the team that got us 3 goals in the first 45 mins at WHL. Hopefully put this game early to bed too.
