Of course he'd leave for a first team role. We would all leave for a better job, with better prospects and more visibility.

TambourineMan yeah exactly. A lot of people saying surely he'd want a bigger job but part of getting someone who could get a bigger job offer is accepting he might move in the middle of the season. Anyway U21s coach is very different from first team coach, its more about getting the best from the players development than getting results.

TambourineMan yeah but isn’t it a bit of a red flag him leaving half way through season and coming back 6 months later? Who is to say he won’t do it again. He is a flight risk so it’s something worth considering if he’s in contention for this role. Loyalty is a two way street.

I'm sure they are aware he wants manager role eventually but considering he is an ex player whose promising career was ruined by injuries I don't see any problems with helping him gain experience and developing until a suitable role comes up. But maybe I am too soft.

Wilshere comes across as respectful to Arsenal and professional as a coach. The lad's grown up believe it or not. Considering the turmoil he went through at the tail end of his career I can appreciate his temperament nowadays.

If the club are thinking about having Jack back, they likely attribute to him some of the recent success of Hale End products with the first team. That's all about imitating the first team's game model and roles. In short sign him back up, he's no doubt already a better manager than Cesc Fabregas.

Tim Lewis leaves Arsenal, Richard Garlick appointed CEO, Josh Kroneke going to be more prominent figure and we are planning to get two more executives from KSE (Ornstein).

Ben Winston, film producer and director, season ticket holder, will also be joining.

Interesting Lewis would leave now that we are seemingly back on the way up.

We've been on the way up during Lewis's entire involvement—his arrival turned on the investment tap or so it seemed. And just last summer there were reports it was his mateship with Parish that got us Eze.

I wonder if Lewis isn't rotating out because he's gotten a bit more emotionally involved than KSE would prefer.

Meanwhile Ben Winston looks like a horrendous media stooge but wow, what a CV—the man must know more celebrities than just about anyone alive.

lorddulaarsenal I think it's very good. He's personally invested it seems (hopefully). Let's just not get overboard with involvement ala Abrahamovic/ Nottingham Forest Greek mobster.

Lewis seemed to be a source of sage guidance. Would be concerned with more KSE people getting involved, particularly if they have no grounding in football.

I do wonder also about Garlick getting promoted again. Reminds me of Edu's power-grab which always felt underserved.

Don Pacifico I may remember wrong since I'm not often bothered reading about all these behind the scenes guys, but it was my impression that Lewis has been quite involved since things have started improving.

QuincyAbeyie that was certainly my impression. Felt like he helped Josh get to grips with elements of the club/football culture that he had otherwise been a bit clueless about.
