This game should be done really, should have 2 or 3 at least. Instead they are right in it and if we have a dip could still get something from the match. So frustrating to not have the ability to kill the game.

I'd swap Havertz for Jesus and Saka for Martinelli at half time. We looked completely fucking wrecked after about 35 mins. Very worrying.

Very worried about the chances we haven't taken and the ones we have given up, after ten minutes this was looking like being a fun evening for us but I'm not so sure now, we've let Chelsea grow into the game. Hope we get Martinelli on in the second half cos with that kid on a booking, he should have a party.. Havertz has been infuriating this half - I'm not sure I've enjoyed anything he's done.

However, I very much enjoyed his finish just now. What a pass from Odegaard, genius. Ben White scoring with his wrong foot seconds after winding Cuntcurella up is my moment of the season.

Not bad, some really silly stuff in midfield but defence is a bit sleepy.

Havertz has been both really good and poor at times. Would like to see Jesus on before long.

Reflections on the first half:

Defensive chaos - seems to be a function of our CBs continuing their shaky vein of form and Partey not properly performing his screening responsibilities (maybe not fully coordinated with Rice yet given their playing time together?).

Havertz - continues to show his capability as a CF whilst simultaneously showing he's also not capable of being anything more than a joker card there. We need a proper player there.

Creativity - honestly one of our most creatively varied games under Arteta. Wonderful to see. Special mention to White for some superb first-time through balls (what a player).

Chelsea - this XI is bad. I really hope we don't let them back in as we've got away with a lot.

This is the key takeaway for me - I’m not surprised we haven’t made the most of our attacking opportunities but this is the most open we’ve been defensively for a long, long time

Think it's more to do with Chelsea being able to break our press and get down the sides repeatedly.

Partey has looked like Partey circa 2022. Kai has looked liked autumn Kai.

After the first 15 mins we have looked insecure and Chelsea have turned this into a basketball game which is what they like.

Bring on Jesus for Kai and Mart for Saka to give that kid trouble. They are shit and need to be taken to the cleaners. Sometimes I think it’s Arsenal v Arsenal than our opposition.

To be fair Chelsea do this in every game. Take a lot of risks and turn the game into a game of basketball. What we need to do is take advantage and be more ruthless going forward.

Mirth it's not even like our CBs have been positionally suspect, they've just been second to a lot of balls or not tracked the runner. Feels like mental fatigue.

If Tomi/Timber are fit next season, we probably should be rotating them (plus Kiwior) in at CB every now and again. Can't assume they'll survive next season starting every game.
