The league is over but would you rather go out like a damp squib or take it to the last day? The narrative between the two is quite significant.

Basically the difference between another bottle job or a sign of improvement.

If we lose the title because we lost 6 points in 2024 (draw to city and loss to Villa) I could take that.

What I can’t take it loose to wolves, lose to Chelsea, lose to Spurs.

Let’s have some fucking pride and make City earn their title.

i hope i eat my words, but the season was done when he lost to fulham and west ham. the only way to recover that start to this season was to be perfect in 2024 and we got close but we gave ourselves too much work. you need room for a slip up here and there and we used up all of ours in 2023.

Almost 20 years ago exactly, we were dumped out of the Champions League and FA Cup in quick succession and were 2-1 down at home to Liverpool at half time. That team dug deep, went on to win that match with some brilliant footy and go on to pull off an unbeaten league season.

Hopefully these boys can channel a bit of that spirit this weekend.

So unsure what we'll get today. Would not be surprised at all if what a few of us fear happens and we put in another performance where we have plenty of the ball but our attacking play is off, uninspired and Wolves sucker punch us and end up with the win, putting an end to a realistic last chance at the league.... But at the same time I won't be surprised if we play brilliantly, score well and take a relatively easy 3 pts. Just don't know.

I mean it's odd we renewed him when these fitness issues were quite obvious. Echo those that are unsure today, it's going to rely on lot on how we as a team deal with these setbacks and does it inhibit us today or do we find a way to show a good account of ourselves.
