You can tell we're both physically and mentally shot, and that's on Arteta as much as any player.
I couldn't stand watching us play every ball to the back foot and in doing so never lead players forward to attack. Everything is so tightly synchronized that we have lost our initiative and it dulls our attacking. Martinelli and Saka haven't been played into space or onto their front foot in ages. Saliba/Gabriel don't lead each other forward, and in turn the midfield is congested before we can ever play into it.
Arteta is a great coach, no doubt, but I do think he needs to really learn how to get more out of a larger squad. He's burning players out by over coaching, and leaving others in the dust so they're never ready to help. It was asinine to bring on Nketiah when he hasn't played in months, and similarly we have a fatigued Odegaard because Arteta can't coach up ESR, Viera, etc.
