Awful and I'm sorry but they're are questions for me about Arteta and his level. In Europe a loss to lens, drew PSV, beat Sevilla, lost Porto and lost Bayern. That is a pretty awful outcome in Europe and another big game away we struggle to win. I don't know if he's good enough to learn he might have to abandon his defence focused tactics. It's not getting us over the line

Claudius yep good assessment - Bayern have top quality so no shame in going out to them but it’s frustrating that we played without adventure and looked void of ideas

lorddulaarsenal yup. I would immediately replace members of our starting lineup with Neuer, Kimmich, Goretzka, Musiala, Sané and Kane. They all have so much ability and qualities we would benefit from. So we were beaten by a strong team. By the solitary goal over 2 legs. Frustrating but I’ll take it.

I don't think it will ever happen for us.

We run out of gas every run-in because we don't have squad filled with players of the requisite quality. Not only have we made mistakes with recruitment for the first eleven and need to rectify those, we also still need to spend another £300m on the squad.

She bs were terrible. Havertz moved back into midfield just gave up the game. It's the exact same move that cost us the Villa game. Trossard for Martinelli was wrong too, we needed to run at them. Both were crap when they came on.

that performance didn't surprise me in the slightest, sadly.

we're pups at this level. arteta has minimal CL experience as a player other than a few embarrassing years under wenger where he looked out of his depth. doesn't look like he has a clue at this level yet either

most of my smoke is aimed at arteta tbh. everyone's performances have drastically turned to shit at the exact same time. fingers have to pointed at the manager when that happens

Clrnc this is the result of of your team tactics being some kind of advanced calculus. its almost like we are embarrassed to just play direct, foot on the gas attacking football. we finally have a strong centerback pairing and solid midfielders, but we give teams an easy out and let them sit in while we play 400 sideways passes per match

Entirely predictable and inevitable outcome but it's still devastating. We look out of gas just like last season and I fear we roll over in the weekend too and then it's all over.

Saka is actually terrible. Arteta needs to learn that he can't keep playing him into the ground, he's useless right now. Switch someone else in for him or figure out how to manage his time better through the season

Claudius they're really not. they've been picked apart in the bundesliga by teams that actually had a go at them. we helped them massively by how passive we've been in both legs. Porto were better

CL quarters is about par for this team. the wheels coming odd the season entirely is the bigger concern

Qwiss teams know the way to beat us is to crowd out saka and odegaard, if you can take them out, we're not going to produce anything. we need a left winger to take some pressure off of saka so everything doesnt have to go down the right. people questioned me at the beginning of the season when i said martinelli wasnt good enough, but i think its pretty clear at this point hes not good enough. and we need an actual striker, obviously. another £200m summer coming, just spend it all on attackers

naz give Bayern credit. These guys covered our right flank really well.
What we lacked was the ability to be adventurous, beat men off the dribble where we didn’t have double teams. If Saka is double teamed, it means we need to move the ball quickly to other spaces and be brave in taking people on. I don’t think we had those skills

We haven't impressed in Europe in 25 out of the 27 European campaigns that I've witnessed. So it's hard to then knock the players and manager for our best campaign in years.

Bayern still have a core of players who won the CL three years ago. They were able to game raise and rely on that experience and quality. We have a core of players who are playing at this level for the first time.

I hate to say it, but Sicario is right about Saka. He was so unsure of himself tonight and it’s not the first time it’s happened to him in a high pressure game. With Martinelli already in poor form we couldn’t afford him to have a stinker. The kids desperately need some help.

Not happy with Artetas game management again either. Bring on some players who are comfortable in the middle of the pitch in tight spaces, ESR, Partey, or both. The subs were uninspired.
