This is a fixture that worries me a little not so much about the opposition but our own level and maintaining consistency. It's the question I still have for us is can we manage the run in. There is also a question about what happens if we concede or fall behind that's something that we haven't dealt with in the league recently and how do we deal with that.

Claudius well the Bayern game I thought we had some out of character defensive showing and maybe we weren't quite at the level we have been used to. I know Bayern are a different beast to most teams but it was more our own level which I felt dipped and led to an outcome where we didn't come out with a win.

That does cause me a little question about how the team will manage with the pace of fixtures and relying mostly on the same players we have been. So for me it's a question for the rest of the season as well but I think about it going into this game as it's the next one.

awooga83 we have had bozo moments against Porto and Liverpool in recent months. So it’s not highly unusual. What’s true of all 3 teams is they had the quality to capitalise. As long as we keep bozo shit infrequent, we should be okay, especially against Bayern and a potential semi finalist.

I wouldn't rest anyone much who's fit from the off for this. But Saka, Martinelli and White are the trio who seem to need wrapping in cotton wool, if anyone. We could consider Jesus, Trossard and Tomiyasu in their stead.

Emery sides are unpredictable. We're better off fielding a strong lineup and hoping we can withdraw key men early if we're leading.

Don't know what his deal is in terms of fitness, but Martinelli looks like he needs to be played back into sharpness rather than rested.

Saka is too important to rest, same with Ode and Rice.

I’d imagine Havertz will start ahead of Jesus as he’s in form and we need to rest Jesus’ knee. That lets Jesus come on for either Martinelli or Havertz to get 30 mins.

Happy they’re without Luiz though we’ve struggled against McGinn. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Rice start as the 6 and ESR as the 8. That said, Jorginho has played very well vs Aston Villa so perhaps he’ll start, Rice at 8, and then ESR for Jorginho (Rice dropping) at some point.

Personally can’t be bothered about LB word as they all have warts. I’d probably start Zinchenko, and give Tomi 20-30 mins in hopes he could then start vs Bayern.

But Wednesday, I want Zinchenko. I want us to impose ourselves on Bayern. There is a hollowness about them, and I think if we are protagonists, we can take them.

The fact that everyone wants almost a different permutation of line up shows how many options Arteta has under his disposal.

Hope he continue to make the right decisions for the run in. Keeping the fringe players sharp and fresh is very important, while making sure the first teamers ain't overplayed again

Clrnc first team players will play. Just comes with the territory. They’ll start pretty much all the games. What’s helpful is having high quality alternatives to replace them during the games or to start in place of others. Having Trossard instead of Nelson means the other starters don’t have to over adjust or overwork to make up for the drop in quality
