TambourineMan my worry is the players not having the belief/energy to do this a third time after two consecutive "failures".

Especially this season, where we have been pretty excellent. It must be exhausting to put that much in and come away with nothing.

Between Trossard's Cruijff turn, Odegaard's La Croqueta setup for Smith Rowe, and White's skill there, we were spoilt last night.

Didn't get to watch this in full yet due to it being on in my middle of the night, but bravo to Smith Rowe going off the highlights. It's quite something a player that good has been in injury and tactical limbo for two seasons and his Arsenal future remains a question mark.

Arsenal 2024 looks like the real deal. Hoping for three similarly relaxed points away to Brighton so we can throw the kitchen sink at Bayern.

So I know we love our kids, but I’m going to be a bit conservative in review

ESR. After Odegaard, was probably our best / most involved player. Involved in both goals, nearly in a third, got some interceptions, and was overall involved - more active offensively than you’d typically see Vieira/Havertz in same position. The thing he will need to work on is stamina. This was a light game, and he was clearly exhausted before 60 minutes. This means he’s still only a sub for more serious opponents at this stage.
Nelson: was decent, but often seemed disconnected, unable to pick the right move, or do something special. He’s probably best used late when games are broken up, and he can run at players, not early on.

Nketiah was himself. Vieira needs to prove to Mikel he can spell Odegaard for 10 minutes. From this group, Nelson and Nketiah guys I would look to move on.

Claudius Nelson was a real disappointment. He started off looking hungry but he just seems to lack intensity most of the time. Its hard to judge him too much because he's played so little first team football but he needs to move on because he'll never reach his real level playing 300 minutes a season for us. Probably needed another load at some stage despite having plenty, a PL loan would have been the real test for him.

Bring Back Kerrea Gilbert that would be weird by them. Last year was their first title push, and they really got done by double injury to Saliba/Tomi and an inexperienced coach. This is a better, deeper team. They should have a different resolve.
