that was a bit of an eyesore. definitely not a game for the forwards to thrive in. everything is pretty suffocated and scrappy, but maybe that's what mikel wants. if we just had more composure and menace in transition, I'd feel more optimistic

Tactics

I think we have done the sensible thing to avoid playing out from the back. Trying to play out from the back against a City side that's pressing relentlessly is suicidal. We have largely negated them, did De Bruyne even touch the ball?

We look a bit nervous, but appear fully concentrated. Lack of a pacey forward is hurting us. Think we could really hurt them if things stay the same and we bring on Martinelli around the hour mark.

Think he's the only one that out thinks Arteta in the PL. Even Klopp just keeps doing what he usually does and we catch them out when we change it up. Guardiola just keeps changing shit, like bringing in Kovacic this game when the guy hardly starts and didn't even start against Liverpool.
