Thought he had a very mature performance today. Admittedly Leeds were dire but best game I think I've seen from in that role.

I liked it a lot too. You lose some of the security with him but against a team like Leeds we have to be able to afford that. Trust the defence to be able to handle a few counters. The upside is a lot more fluid attacking football.

It's a joy to see this lad zip between the banks on the field. I don't know if I've seen a touch this good at Arsenal outside Bergkamp, Henry and Özil.

Potentially but the work he did when we didn't have the ball was was really impressed me. We know he's a threat when he's got the ball at his feet, when he's running at defenders but to see him cover Odegaard's role in it's totality is what made me feel like he could actually be a serious alternative in that position.

Bring Back Kerrea Gilbert Maybe, but I'd like to see Dowman do it at the speeds Ethan does before I commit an opinion. I've seen Nwaneri pull off stuff in tight corners that would have broken a normal man's ankles.

Dowman is more about that ridiculous close control while running at defenders so easily that it looks like he's gliding on the pitch.

Ethan is more poweful with his twists and turns and quick changes of pace and direction.

Different styles, but both super talented.

I agree with a lot of the posts above- really classy performance from Nwaneri. I actually like that he's like a forward playing in the 10/8 role, rather than Odegaard who can be a bit too midfielder-ish. Especially against weaker teams. He's got a better shot on him as well.

People worried about his minutes this season really don't need to be. He will get plenty, there are so many games and the injuries seem to be continuing where they left off 😭

He was ok today, but he needs to take another big step to really have a positive impact on the team.

He was fine but this was Leeds. He can't replace Ode v Pool. Not sure Eze fixes that too.
We'll just have to work something out.

Hard to actually say that before he kicks a ball for us. We know his skill and talent, but like with Gyokeres, new system, new team... He won't be 100% gelled with the team instantly.

I thought he made an impact when he came on. Dropped deep, pinged passes and kept the game moving. Think he will get many opportunities this season to develop and showcase his ability.

MistaT I'm in 2 minds about it but I think Eze is probably better off on the wing at the moment. I think tactically he can come in and do a Saka type job on the left while Noni plays on the right the way Martinelli usually does on the left.
