Overall a dreadful performance. Thought many of our key players were not at it today. Porto made it really tough and did not let us play but we didn’t help ourselves either.

Raya amazing on the penalties but also throughout the game, he was so calm even when some of our defenders were a bit erratic.

Odegaard was such a superb captain when it came to penalties. Decisive, picked the spot and just go on with it with his leadership

That's exactly right. It seemed like the quality of the pens - more than just scoring them - put pressure on Porto.

Odegaard and Kiwior the standouts for me during normal time.

Clrnc agree on all those. Thought Kiwi or was very cool and calm. Thought Rice and Saliba both looked nervy too. A few players did well until they ran out of steam, Havertz, Jorginho, etc

Pepe LeFrits a great experience for arteta as well. our tactics flopped pretty badly, we barely forced them into any errors like we do in the epl. goes to show that in CL you can't just bully teams with athleticism. they're all superbly coached and do their homework.

lots of our players are building their CL experience in real time - guys like martinelli, odegaard, saka, rice, saliba, Gabriel - all relatively green at this level. this is a huge learning experience for them

Nerves definitely got the better of us over the 2 legs. That's what lack of CL experience for the team and manager will do. This experience overall is massive for team.. Onwards and upwards.

Doc Yep, I would have preferred to have had a better performance today but ultimately the result was what mattered. The longer this went on, the more the fact that we haven't qualified for the QFs since 2010 would hang over us. Plus it's really good experience for the players and Arteta as a manager.

Mirth This. When it comes to knockout all that matters is the result. Just ask Argentina 2022 or Portugal 2016. All that matters is we're in the QF. I suspect there are a few other teams who'd take it.
