A win is a win but for me, this game demonstrated yet again why we could benefit from another forward - a Sanchez clone ideally. We don't have a player who (a) creates regular chances on their own and (b) is a reliable finisher on goal.

Easier said than done, I know but we won't always win games like yesterday as things currently stand and getting that 'tin opener' that we can lean on when our system isn't working would be really valuable. Would be my priority for our next Rice level signing.

More than anything it showed me we need reinforcements on the wing. Trossard really isn't a wide man, in fact I thought Nelson looked more natural out there when he came on. Thought it was a good little cameo actually.

goon my first time at a game since we signed him and it's absolutely baffling how he can cover so much ground and not be dead by 60 minutes. Unreal player. Him finding his form is the biggest factor in our good run imo.

Any when I say that I mean he's gone from good to unbelievable, that's what finding his form is. Even when he's not 100% on it he's still one of our best.

daredevil they're both brilliant but Gabriel is more solid. Saliba is more silky but due to age a little less secure. Best CB pairing in football right now though.

Tactics

daredevil Yeah it has been evident for some time now that Trossard should be primarily used as a false 9.

This might sound like a terrible idea but I think it's worth trying Havertz on the left wing as he can provide similar runs in behind that Martinelli does, and he'll be a good target for Saka or Ode to aim at the far post. He could also be extremely useful against high pressing sides, can you see any RB winning a header against him if Raya hits it long to him? Nope.
