Weird one for me, I'm usually very sanguine about these games - expect nothing and you can never be disappointed, but tonight is a huge opportunity to lay a marker down for the second half of the season.

I'm quite calm but mostly because I think tonight is a great chance to take a step towards winning the title rather than losing it.

If we win, and with most of our XI fit and in form and a decent run of games coming up, I reckon we could be in quite a formidable position by the time Liverpool come to the Emirates in early Feb.

If we lose, nothing much really changes, but it feels like it will be more of an up down season until the end.

Still remember my experience at Anfield last year, first 39 minutes was my happiest ever in a match, next 51 minutes was horrible. Was Gabriel + Ramsdale vs the rest, pure bombardment.

We collapsed mentally before we even conceded, especially down that right side. Holding was off doing his own thing, Saka was a second slow pressing and tracking back and White had no idea who he was supposed to be marking or what position to take up.
