Disagree. A fit Jesus is better than Firmino and it was good enough for Liverpool. In fact he’s better than any other striker in the league bar Haaland and I actually hate the latter stylistically.

I’m all for improvement if the opportunity is there, but he’s not a problem aside from maybe his fitness.

he was good enough for liverpool because they got world class scoring out wide from salah. we don't have that. martinelli scoring 15 goals last season was a big deal and if he produced that kind of season this year he'll be about as productive as mane, but we would still need a salah.

I already called him a dipshit. He's improved massively in 1-v-1 scenarios of all kinds so far, though.

DiabyKungFu Yes, he might have gotten a little better in 1 v 1 situations, but the problem is, he is positionally horrible and switches off and loses his man quite often and that is what allows chances (and goals) to happen. He did it in the first half also, but Martinelli bailed him out.

KingslandBarge if we somehow underperform our xG and win the league, then I guess it doesn't matter. Without that accomplishment to qualify it, though, I find it hard to be happy with our league performances when the goals-for column equals the xG column, let alone coming in significantly less-than. It really is a fly in the ointment for me.

Since 21-22 I feel the team has left a handful of points on the plate by not quite capitalizing on great starts(gs:xg), and resting on laurels. I think there has been indication of maturity and a little more ruthlessness over this timespan, just want a clear demonstration of it through this season.

I am really feeling privileged to watch and enjoy this side. Well done to Arteta so far on nurturing this force.

Zinchenko’s performance was really unacceptable. he made four or five mistakes that could have resulted in a goal and they were all totally avoidable. Just pure laziness and lack of concentration, not good enough at this level.

It looked like a tired performance after playing thrice in a week rather than some character or mental fault. Tomiyasu broke down in the same guy due to fatigue. We definitely need to rotate and I'd consider Kiwior and White against Luton.

daredevil it's what I was talking about when I mentioned that Zinchenko is going to be phased out sooner rather than later. Terrible defender. On average he makes these unforced errors every other game. Arteta wants Kyle Walker 2.0s in the position. Or at least players who can be defensively solid first.
