I think it was very harsh. There’s no weight or force at all in that tackle, it’s never going to cause serious injury. I actually think Havertz tackle against Newcastle was more of a red.

awooga83 every club is hard done by, though, because there cannot even be a pretense of fairness with such absurd inconsistency across the board. An effort to be consistent would change everything, but they don't even claim to be making one. It's all vibes.

That some clubs are less hard done by than others is a measurable fact, though. You can see the effects on the table with just the mistakes they admit to making, let alone the ones they don't.

awooga83 Every club thinks they get hard done by it's the one thing every fan has in common. We will get bad decisions go against us and for us most the time people just forget the ones that go your way because the negative emotion lasts longer.

That's not how it works. For example, every fan base would agree that Wolves have been absolutely shafted by the refs this season. It's naive to think that the many mistakes will end up exactly balanced for every team so that none of them have been treated unfairly.

QuincyAbeyie well I was going for the do you think any club thinks they get a "fair" showing from the ref as a starting point. I think all point to things where they've been hard done by. So there isn't any one club suffering. You are right you can't guarantee things even out in a season but over longer time they probably aren't that different. They're have been some big errors that other clubs may recognise of each other..I just don't think this is one personally

Decent performance overall considering all the injuries. I like the fact that we just swung in crosses today, it’s an aspect I think we should develop to our game. We’ve got big players, get them in the box and on the end of crosses.

Zinchenko back to his best today, really dictated play. My MotM.

Trossard is better up top than Eddie, or at least more suited to our style. He’s a top player.

Zinchenko was excellent. You can see how much burden he carries this season compared to last, because Jorginho and previously Rice just aren't doing enough to make it an effective double pivot.

Agreed on Trossard as well. He is easily our second best striker and I think he would give Jesus a run for his money.

Very subdued atmosphere today. Not sure if it’s because we play a shitter brand of football or because it’s Burnley there is such expectancy.

Anyway, we did our job. After Newcastle, 2 wins from the next two were non-negotiable.

Zinny my MOM followed by Trossard. Notable shout out to Tomi after we went down a man, played like a man possessed.

I hope we prepare well ahead of Brentford away, we’ve struggled post international weeks and at 1730 KO’s.

Gazza M I don't think bravery is what Arteta wants in a pivot. It's why he pushed Xhaka forward and I think Zinchenko would be as risky as Xhaka there, even though the upside might be better. It's weird but it's effective, modern coaches want risk averse DMs but risky keepers and centre half's.
