Would have loved a good cup run personally, particularly given how rusty/inconsistent some of the fringe players look. Playing them into form in the league feels a bit more risky.

I really think it was just pure dumb luck with how Ramsdale's good and bad games happened to be distributed (i.e. happened to play bad in home games we won easily, happened to play good in tough away games) that we didn't see more of these types of results last season.

With Partey and ESR out I don't know what the hell we're supposed to do in midfield. Jorginho needs to be put out to pasture. Vieira can't cope against physicality and Havertz looks like he's gonna cry 15 minutes into every match.

elneny can at least move a bit and show for the ball. jorginho is terrified of being pressed these days, especially after bottling it against spurs.

Qwiss Didn't get a chance to watch this, but I knew just from the selection it'd be a poor result. We are going to lose a lot of matches if Jorginho starts.

Find it amazing people are questioning whether Patino could "break through" into selections like this, it'd be like breaking into a wet paper bag.

When I watch Vieira I think he will never have the required physical presence to be a good starter in this league. When I watch Havertz, I have to return to one of those dubious "What does Kai Havertz do?" videos to survive the experience.

A prime Alex Song would be a godsend at the moment.

Don Pacifico We didn't create anywhere near enough. We were ok 1st half a few chances from set pieces. The 2nd half was abysmal.

I thought he should have saved the third 1 even with the deflection it was straight at him was poor technique to palm it into goal.
