God I love Kiwior. Against lowly opposition but he’s so switched on, is agile and is good on the ball.

Must say, I'm on my way back home from the Emirates and thought the team selection was quite, um, experimental but obviously the right day for it.. Eddie was excellent and took his first two chances beautifully. The hat trick goal was sensational. Knew it was in as soon as he hit it. Was quite something to check the team sheet in injury time and see how many "squaddies" were on the pitch.

Couldn't understand why the penalty took so long to be given, looked nailed on from our angle and the Tommy goal completed a perfect day. I even got a picture with Le Boss afterwards. 😊

Qwiss it was a genuinely magnificent hattrick. Up there with the best of them we've seen (albeit too infrequently) over the years.

I thought Eddie looked a lot better with ESR and Havertz as split 8/10s. He had more room to maneuver and put his running power to use. He likes to pull defenders around in bigger spaces, rather than make tidy little one-twos or drop deep into a congested midfield.

It also meant our main creators were the deeper playmakers like Rice and Zinchenko, rather than Odegaard and Saka who are often already pushed high up into the forward line. Eddie thrived on that verticality.

Coombs I'm not surprised it suited him. Jesus probably doesn't need 2 attacking 8s because he'll drop in but Eddie is always pushed up so he need those guys behind him.

I'm delighted for him anyway. He has the ability its just whether or not he can find the consistency. Great response to what I thought was his first genuinely poor performance of the season against Seville, they ate him up. Showed a lot of naivety I thought.

Clean sheets at home are a good habit to get into. Hope it sticks. Was 1 of our downfalls last season.

Really good to see Arteta making good use of his squad too. Saliba and Rice the only 2 who played 90 today and Tuesday. Don't expect to see either of them on Wednesday now.

I agree. However, we still haven't seen Øde and ESR together (?) with Rice, which I hope we will.

Just to add, I don't think Emile did anything particularly amazing today, although a nice control before he passed to Eddie for the hat trick goal, but it was good to see him start and I was quite encouraged that he wasn't one of the first changes made in the second half.
