Great win for us but god the last 30mins were hard to watch. I don't mind the defending but the inability to keep the ball once we get it back is frustrating.
That run from Rice straight through the middle so good. Should have kept going and had a shot.
Panda that run was why you want him with a number 6 and not as the number 6.
Panda they’re not in their current form and profiles
Was thinking beforehand just how much we miss Xhaka. The angles he created on his passes were unreal at times. He was also great at one touch footy in the final 3rd.
Rama Ric is similar in that respect
Great result and even better the other game was a draw. Greatly positioned in this group now with two home games.
Ideally if we can make the PSV away game a dead rubber that would be great so we can rest players.
It also has to be said that Ramsdale should start our next game, I rate Raya, but he sadly makes too many mistakes.
Up until their goal we were very comfortable in this game.
gabby j, rice, tomi and the back four all very solid
everyone else really needs to buck their ideas up. ode and saka have been phoning it in a bit since they inked their new deals.
less said about raya the better
Gazza M ode and saka have been phoning it in a bit
Ode is the main culprit imo. He’s unusually key to bringing the best out of that right side, but right now he’s not doing anything like he means it. Bit odd as he was in sensational form not long ago.
Once Saka, Martinelli and Odegaard start to purr we'll be in excellent shape but I worry that might not happen (at least to the same extent it did last season) due to the more conservative nature of our play this season.
goon possibly a daisy chain effect with partey being out. everything is finely choreographed in this system, and partey - as imperfect as some say he is - has a rodri type effect on the team that is quite far reaching. that however should be a known known by now. there's plenty of things well within odegaards control that he can do better. saka too
Ødegaard definitely isn't looking good. I wonder if it's him or our playing style? It seems like he's doing more defensive work than last season, and our team's overall stats also suggest that we've sacrificed attack for defence.
QuincyAbeyie interesting that all the 'progressive' stuff is globally down. that graph certainly bears out what I'm seeing from him on the pitch
I sort of liked the way we ended the match with 5 centre backs.
Jesus with a goal and an assist plus put 1 for Martinelli on a plate before that too
Gunner89 the goal was the first one that went, Gabby to Gabby to Gabby.
Just seen that our next two games in the CL are home games. Important to win those and that should wrap up qualification for us.
