He does silly things all the time, in every game, more so than pretty much everyone else in our team imo.

The boxed us in with their high press. We seem less press resistant these days compared to last and a lot of that is down to missing Partey's ability on the ball and Xhaka's movement ahead of them. Noticed it in a number of games so far this season.

Gabriel was in no way our big problem in our end of season collapse. All the players we were missing in the backline was. Its pretty convenient to ignore all that and lay the blame on the one guy who remained in the team actually doing his job at the back.

I'm specifically saying he was the weaklink in our build-up, not hos defending. Which, aside from his brain farts, is excellent, but teams definitely pressed hard when he got the ball, and he was a big problem because he couldn't handle it - too often he'd lose the ball or put someone else in trouble.
