Burnwinter if we look at the top goal scorers on the best teams we’ve seen, it’s basically Haaland (36), CR7 (31) and Henry (30). They played for strong City, United, Arsenal teams. CR7 moved to a strong Madrid side and recorded 29, 34, 38 goals in the subsequent seasons, 38 being his max.
I don’t think it’s outrageous to think that he was on a similar path goal wise in England as he achieved in Spain. So he possibly would’ve hit 35-40 goals had he remained on a strong United side. Messi also peaked at 38 goals a few years later (but had a ton of mid 30s seasons). Again, I don’t see why he wouldn’t have replicated that here given how CR7 evolved.
