lorddulaarsenal Vieira's got a bit of the Yossi about him
lorddulaarsenal one of our best temporary loans ever. He was so influential that season. Underrated player.
Only player to have played for Chelsea Liverpool and Arsenal too
Clrnc Only player to have played for Chelsea Liverpool and Arsenal too
Ummm, Anelka.
Clrnc super clever player. Lean as hell too.
Clrnc ha! @James might not remember this, but I do. Just before the first 5-2, our old mucker Asa texted us about the line up and said something like "Benayoun & Rosicky start, I'm going home". Obviously, he didn't. What a day that was.🤣
Funny to look at the line ups from that day, we've travelled some distance...

Big Willie didn’t James Milner have a stint at both us and Chelsea back in the 70s?
lorddulaarsenal 😂
I couldn't get over Benayoun being a Chelsea reject. He was fine but he wasn't good enough for Chelsea and he wasn't good enough for us (except for the fact we were also carrying a pitiful Gervinho that season). That really was the start of the end for Wenger as far as our pride as a club was concerned. No real strategy and willing to sign any half-way decent dross.
Considering all the rival dross we've signed over the years the one I still can't get over is signing an over the hill Silvestre, who was shit even at his absolute peak.
Big Willie dreadful player, but was he not highly rated when he was at Inter?
If Trossard and Martinelly are injured, it really should be:
Nelson-Jesus-Saka Vieira-Rice-Ødegaard Zinchenko-Gabriel-Saliba-White Raya
Havertz shouldn't be anywhere near the starting line up.
Kel Varnsen I'd go for that but with the switch of Nelson for ESR. Nelson is good off the bench because he goes crazy for 10 minutes but I don't think he'd do well over 90 minutes against Spurs. I'd still take him over a Havertz and Vieira mix though.
Havertz and Nelson for me. Big game for both. Annoyed with two left wing injuries, but Nelson as a third choice is decent.
