Martinelli and Saka are often isolated 1v2. We haven't been able to set them up 1v1 as much as we should. Part of it is because Palace are hard working, but the new patterns aren't really clicking yet. Havertz is a bit lost, Tomiyasu offers very little going forward, and Ødegaard hasn't been as involved as he usually is.

This back 4 is a mess. Gabriel is a better CB than White, Whites a better fullback than Partey and Parteys a better mid than Havertz. Tomi is better on the right too.

I think Eddie has been good finding space and making things happen in and around the box (not a good target man at all though because you can't hit him on ground or air), but he has to take that second chance he had. Has to, has to, has to!

Ricky1985 agree with this, if your a striker at a top club you have to be scoring that chance.

Overall decent half but probably should have scored and that clinical aspect can be a key factor in dropping unnecessary points.

Martinelli and Saka not been able to influence things like you'd hope and I'm still not sure what Havertz is particularly giving us right now.

HomeSteak Yeah. Bar is set so low for Nketiah that we are delighted with little things he do like smart turns and strength to hold on to the ball when that's supposed to be bread and butter for an Arsenal striker. Need him to actually score simple chances when presented though.

Clrnc I agree with you to a point but I think the reason people feel positive about it is because it suggests the possibility of continued improvement from Eddie. Like it or not, he's getting plenty of minutes this season and if I see signs of improvement, I'll take that.

territorial dominance, but at what cost? our wingers and fullbacks aren't generating overloads, and our attacking mids are being jammed up in the middle.

rice has been good, and eddies been decent missed chances aside. other than that, not much is happening

Can't say I enjoyed that.

Nketiah and Rice had their moments, and Partey was solid. But outside of those moments I wasn't feeling the shape or our approach. Felt very disjointed with Havertz, Saka, and Odegaard looking well out of ideas.
