Sicario2 - Tier 1 Ball was out of play so moot point about a mistake.

Don't troll mate. The goal stood so it could have been worth a point at least to save it. Could have changed the result entirely in a key match.

Again, the issue is not even Raya versus Ramsdale. It's this: due to the situation set up by our technical leaders, anything less than a brilliant keeping performance immediately raises questions.

With Raya not in control for the goal we conceded and otherwise unremarkable, what has been the point of it all? It would be less painful had Ramsdale already been sold on.

His performance today was 10,000,000 times better than any performance Aaron Ramsdale has ever had for us in the Champions League. Levels.

Agreed. Another clean sheet. If it wasn’t for that bogus Newcastle goal it would have been 3 consecutive clean sheets.

    Flappihandsky would be proud!

Is that his 4th clean sheet without the opposition having a shot? Almost without touching the ball even. Everton, PSV, Sheffield United being the others. Of course, it's nothing against him that we've been so dominant the opposition haven't had a sniff, but it's a stat that can be used to make his performances sound a lot more spectacular.

I thought people were being facetious. Sevilla didn't have a shot all game. I'm not even talking shot on target. like, they literally didn't shoot until very late in the game

Gazza M their first shot on target was the 96th min, it brought out a brilliant save from Raya. Don't think Ramsdale would have got to that and have a clean sheet.

The difference between Raya and Ramsdale is getting big. If Ramsdale started the last 4 games we probably wouldn't have 3 clean sheets in 4 games as the opponents would have peppered our goal if its Ramsdale.

Mates we are lucky with Raya. If that had been Ramsdale in goal for the triple VAR check, the referee would've awarded two goals to Newcastle

Don't forget we'd have lost the Sheffield United and Everton games 3-0 too.

Only performance I can think of lately where he's actually had to make a few real saves. There were a couple of good stops in there, and he looked confident and was talking to the defence.

Second after his debut (Everton away).

I’ve realised he is relatively quiet for a goalie, never shouts or screams at his defenders like a Ramsdale would.

Not saying it’s good or bad as quiet goalies can be quality too - look at Alison, it’s just an observation.

I'm pretty close to a single-issue goalkeeper guy and this is my single issue:

To disagree with all the best managers thinking more than one skill is important for a GK is certainly an opinion.

His ball-playing skills are world class. Has taken our build-up game to the next level.

juice wasn't worth the squeeze with this guy.

inaki cana needs demotion to bibs and cones as well. wouldn't stop banging on in artetas ear about this guy since 2020

No idea which of these two is better now: Arteta has turned both into nervous wrecks. Oh well. At least Arsenal's only a keeper graveyard, not an everywhere else graveyard. ☠️
