I don't think having two good goalkeepers is innovation. Plenty of clubs have had that. It just always ends up with one of them, the one considered better, playing as long as he's fit. The exceptions are where there's one cup GK and one league GK. If he rotates GKs every other match based on the opposition, I guess that would be some kind of innovation. Never seen that,as far as I can remember.
I don't really buy Arteta's comments about "why shouldn't you sub your goalie in the 70th minute?" etc. because if he really meant that then he'll start doing it, and I'm betting he won't.
