I wanted the club to just pull out and refuse to play over that. There was too much money and CL qualification etc at stake so they never would have entertained the idea but don't think I could ever have been prouder to be an Arsenal fan than if they had done it.

Mirth its a bit of both. Arteta has him pushing high up but he needs to judge how far and when. Both of them need to take a look at the situation because it happening once is bad luck, happening 3 times in a year is a detail that shouldn't be overlooked.

I've come around to the goal not being his fault. Like someone said, in regards to his positioning high up the pitch it's a risk/reward thing and he's definitely been instructed to do so. The one where he threw the ball right at Kudus (?) was a lot worse. Based only on the eye test he's been more error prone this season than last.

That one was baffling haha. You could see that he really aimed at him too. I would love to know what was going on in his brain in that moment. I just put it down to the fact that keepers are nutters, and if they're worth their salt they're going to do something batshit crazy every now and then.

That finish was pretty much perfect by Richarlison. Not to mention the fact that the ball couldn't have come to him any better from Palhinha's tackle. Things lined up against Raya(and us) in that sequence and sometimes there's not much you can do about it. Other than not getting caught on the ball like Zubimendi did, of course.

The goal was definitely on Zubimendi and not Raya. I'm just glad this mistake happened up 3-0. Not like against Sunderland, which resulted in us dropping two points.

if his starting position is dictated by playing philosophy how is it his fault that he gets lobbed when a teammate is casual on the ball and loses it in a position i'm sure he's told never to lose it in. i have bigger issues with bad kicks and throws, not lobs. that's on other people like zubi on sunday.

The weird thing about that throw was how long he took to make it, he absolutely had an opportunity to send it on the counter, but by the time he did we could all see exactly where it was gonna go.

I'm not worried about him being chipped as often as he has been, but it is kind of funny to see it given how certain critics of Ramsdale insisted it wouldn't happen to him. He's obviously up high under instruction, just as Aaron was.
