Penalties nowadays are less about accurate shooting and more about prompting the keeper to give away which direction they're intending to dive by pausing during the run-up and then shooting the opposite side. If a professional footballer isn't using that technique, then you have to wonder what the fuck they're playing at.
Incidentally, Havertz used the technique and Bayendir flinched to go to his right but then he readjusted and went left. It was very good goalkeeping.
