I kept watching all the replays, listening to commentators, and watched the post-match with Wright, Keane et al and thought, nobody is saying anything about how utterly dominant Raya is in those situations. I’ve every confidence in him getting a strong punch in before Saliba or Gabriel get a chance to head it away.

Gurgen they haven't said too much TBF, but when he signed for us they thought he was just as likely to be sitting on our bench as we all did.

Nah, he didn't. He went to the left and Raya responded by extending his right leg to stop it. It was a brilliant save - but the mistake was Fernandez should have gone right where all the space was.

Sicario2 I think that's fair. Rice had had games where he's been awesome, but also games where he hasn't. Consistency wise it has to be Raya, though I'd also shout out Saliba.

Raya might have just had his "Emi Martinez Argentina" moment for us. Literally saved the game for us, and we went down and scored 4 or 5 mins later. Quite possibly the biggest save for Arsenal in the past 20 years.

Spot on by Dave, Raya is one of the few keepers who is always looking to catch.

I don't even get the controversy, blatant foul but the media are absolutely hell bent on smearing us when they can. I thought the ref would bottle it but fair play to overturn it in hostile circumstances.

Already player of the season for me - he has been absolutely immense. I can't think of his crucial saves off the top of my head but it feels like there have been many.

The Gabriel block in the last 10 minutes was also monstrous. It's unreal how many ridiculous blocks have saved certain goals in recent weeks. Calafiori against Everton, Gabriel against Griezmann, Gabriel again.

One thing about POTS, if Rice produces the mother of all displays and we win the CL final, he would edge it over Rays for me.

daredevil yeah. this is the thing our haters miss. Our team works on every detail in preparation. and on the field, they leave no stone unturned. Our goalie and defenders celebrate every big defensive play like it was a title winning block. Every set piece on both sides brings out maximum focus. We have had more talented teams in the past, but I cannot recall an Arsenal team that was this deliberate about the details.
