Great play, poor finish.
Oh come on Kai, you gotta bury that. I think we will see a lot of that as the season starts, (the Saka cut back to him), and hopefully he scores some of them. lol
Oh Havertz! Dammit!
We're pissing all over them now. Need a goal
Rice looks lost in the system. Timber and Havertz much more into the game
Ramsdale had that covered.
Coombs about time wasting in general, or just that particular type of time wasting?
QuincyAbeyie in general, but especially this. We invented clocks ages ago.
Declan needs to impose himself more, physically if nothing else. Still looks like he's having to think too much about where to stand.
Havertz does a lot of things well, but his finishing is awful.
Saliba - Rolls Royce.
Timber doesn't really invert, does he? Really miss Zinchenko in our build up.
daredevil he isn't supposed to, we're playing with a double pivot.
daredevil
We need to be much higher up the pitch for that to happen. He "inverted" constantly against Monaco.
I think we've grown into the half and had the better chances.
Looking better than we usually do against them.
Happy with all the new signings think they've all played well. Shame Havertz hasn't put 1 of his chances away.
I knew Saliba would be up for this. Been magnificent.
Ricky1985 he's been outstanding. Defence has been very solid in general.
Coombs
Rice's athleticism is giving us the flexibility to press with twin 8's and also drop back into a double pivot. Keen to see what he does with the ball in offensive areas.
Martinelli needs to do better, I feel Walker always embarrasses him. The rest were ok, Havertz should have scored that but it's who he is...what can we do.
i like what i'm seeing.
Good half, interesting to see us with a different setup, though it's not one we'll use too often I think. Think Rice has looked quite comfortable in the role and has been quietly efficient in helping us build from the back.
Good game. High level stuff. We've created the bigger chances so far. And we are holding our own despite lots of pressure and possession from City.
