James Poor outcomes don't always mean poor decisions. It could absolutely have been the correct decision given what they knew and the circumstances, and if replayed 100 times he might have been fine 99 of them.
I would imagine at the very least it's the doc, Arteta and Timber are three of the main voices in the group. If the doc says the tests aren't showing signs of concern, and the player feels capable to continue, and the manager trusts both, then it sounds like it's just been very unfortunate. Unless something comes out that says Arteta forced Timber to play through discomfort, or the doc didn't do the relevant checks, we just need to accept it.
