Unfortunately I’ve realised Arsenal always let you down even when things are going well. Season before last , last season and this summer all recent examples.

I think Timber out is a fatal blow to our title chances.

We won't simply "top four" this year is my real feeling for the season. We will either win the thing outright or we have a really bad season. I don't think we will be middling around.

Sicario2 - Tier 1 It is definitely really bad news, he's looked class every time he has played for us. I don't think any of us saw the deal coming but he looked like he was gonna play a key part for us this season.

I'm sorry for the lad mainly. As for me I think we've still got a good crop of defenders, but I worry we're now back where we were in terms of cover, a couple of injuries away from a big dropoff in quality and press resistance.

De Bruyne looks to be out for months minimum as well ... that's football.

Gut punch, this. As had mentioned at the very start of this thread, he was the player I was most looking forward to seeing in the side, and his pre-season performances only heightened that excitement.

Focus on recovery now. Time to stay patient and positive. I'm sure he will get the best treatment and managed carefully to ensure he comes back as strong as possible.

Plenty of time after this season for Jurrien to still help the team ❤️

ACL’s are the worst injury to get in football. Bellerin wasn’t the same after his v Chelsea and so many other cases. Hopefully Timber is more lucky.

Such a shame, because as well as being very talented he seems like he’s got a top mentality. Hopefully that will help him get back to his best.

Not that much of an impact for me. At the start we didn't expect us to sign another CB that can invert anyway. He was a huge bonus. Rice is the final jigsaw to our puzzle and we probably need a top striker more.

What the fuck do they mean decided as a group? The doctor does the test and says if he should go out or not. I actually looked it up and a lachman test has a 93.5 percent success rate, who is this new doctor we have man? He really fucked up.

You have the club doctor, the physios, the strength and conditioning team. Collectively they will have performed an assessment and made the decision. With hindsight it was a terrible one.
