I've only seen the goals - two players who were very good last season imo, but both making the exact kind of mistakes we've seen from them too often. Not sure how we improve Gabriel's concentration, but I'm certain Ramsdale needs better conditioning to fix this particular weakness - it's his kryptonite.
I'm not too bothered by the result (even if it sticks in my throat to lose to those dirty disgusting c*nts), and I have no idea how the rest of the game played out, so I'm not gonna get too worked up over it. It doesn't seem like we were any better after going behind from reading on here - dominance without any threat is my take away? It could also be possible that Ten Haag has a different approach to building fitness in pre-season to us, as I recall them smashing Liverpool last summer and then getting absolutely destroyed at Brentford in the first game.
I disagree with Arteta on very little, but Nketiah is definitely one decision that I don't understand - talking of Brentford, that's where he should be playing. Not here!
I like that Arteta was extremely angry afterwards, and that he made the whole team do a full training session after the game. Hopefully this gives a few of them a kick up the arse if they were resting on their laurels a little bit. I'm also definitely keeping in mind that the midfield is all new, and it'll take time to find the right balance and work each other out.
It's worth pointing out that here we are in pre-season and both Zinchenko and Jesus are already behind the other players in the squad in terms of fitness. Maybe we've covered the Zinchenko issue with Timber/Partey playing that tucked in role from RB, but Nketiah cannot be the guy to come in for Jesus. We either need a striker or to trust Balogun.
