So a striker can have an absolute - undeniable to anyone's eyes - complete stinker of a final but luckily find themselves in place to tap the ball in to an empty net after the great work of 2 or 3 team mates... And that somehow has a big standing on where that player is seen at the end of their career.. Yet another striker can absolutely run the show in a final, play a huge part in every goal and do it all except score a goal and that somehow doesn't matter? It makes zero sense.
Henry is 100% in the tier of Zidane and Ronaldo (and I absolutely love the latter btw). There is a reason that despite having had players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Aguero, Suarez, De Bruyne etc in it, when former professionals, pundits and neutral fans are asked who the best player the league has seen is, Henry is still to this day the name you will hear most often.
He's one of the finest players to grace a football pitch. Not scoring in a final does not change that.
