Near perfect does a lot of work round here lately. City aren't near perfect. In the words of Ben White, they're quite good at football. 38 wins straight might be near perfect, even then there's plenty of room for errors under the bonnet of any win.
City are still way ahead of us in experience, and they're blasé rather than nervous about high stakes situations after so much success, but our squad is closing in on theirs for quality, and we're already at their level tactically.
We beat City head to head and we'd get a few players in a mixed XI. We look capable of doing them in. We don't need to be near perfect, just better.
