He will be one of the first names on the team sheet next season. I wouldn't mind bringing in another proper striker (we don't really have a backup/rotation option, not having Jesus at #9), but don't get it twisted, this guy is moving into our core of essential players. MOTM today.

CPM I think we will move for Zirkzee. Similar profile physically and as skilled as Jesus. We need someone who can provide attributes that both possess, and looks like he's just the ticket. Depending on how his knee surgery goes, Jesus might be moved on or get into the rotation with Trossard.

That pass to Saka was perfect. Not many strikers who could pull that off. I'm starting to see why Tuchel compared him to van Persie.

Segway are those two sentences related? I don't remember RvP being a particular stand-out when it came to passing.

QuincyAbeyie Yes, they are related. RvP dropped deep quite often and distributed the ball from the centre of the pitch but my point was rather that they are both very complete forwards who have the technique to do pretty much everything with the ball.

The clipped ball for Saka was sublime too. There was another bit of play from him in the middle of the park where he retained the ball and started a counter.

He’s in great form right now. Really interested to see how he develops and if he can maintain the goal scoring.

Thought he was really good today. Don't know (think) that means he should be our starting striker next season but I love the options he gives us.

He has come such a long way this season and now the confidence is flowing and the hard work is being rewarded. No doubts now from anyone, that this is where he belongs.

Segway havertz just lacks the power in his running and in most of his shots.

Wasn't fun seeing that they played such a high line but we have no players able to run past their defenders

Clrnc this is the next unlock. Offense runs through Saka. Havertz gives us shape and access behind offense. Trossard scores on command.

Martinelli, Jesus, Nelson and Nketiah need to stake their claim. Or be moved down or out

I think Havertz is deceptively fast but van de Ven can catch up with anybody it seems. He even made Martinelli look slow.

Segway Martinelli never have the power in his running. We have seen how many times Konate easily snuff him out. VDV is built like a tank.

Anyway I agree with Merse here.

We need a top powerful forward up there.
