Exactly, if we win it he will absolutely be a cult hero and contributed some crucial goals and assists for us to get there. Sorry to sound like @Sicario2 - Tier 1 but Wilrord and Kanu became that because we won and they contributed well especially during that 01/02 seaaon.

Big Willie and that goal against Deportivo, which remains one of my top three Arsenal goals of all time - it's definitely the funniest, even allowing for our two late goals against Villa last season!
Should also add that I'm really happy for him, a lot of our fanbase went with the media and social media narrative on him, didn't want to give him a chance. Really glad he is proving them wrong, felt when we signed him he would come in useful in these type of games where teams sit deep and really hard to break down. Twice against Brentford he has helped us snatch a win with a late goal.

I think he's in the right environment to really fulfil his potential here. Comes across as switched on and intelligent when he talks too.
Huge moment. Great game overall. His form is indisputable. I asked could he do it in the big moments when we weren't coasting and boy did he deliver today.

QuincyAbeyie two things here 1) there was enough evidence the team was actually good. We had a very specific problem creating enough high goal threat to overcome variance. But we were controlling games and defending better than probably any team in Europe all the way before Dubai
2) with 3 new starters, it was normal to expect some transition issues, particularly on offense.
On Kai specifically, give this guy til next year. I think we’ve unearthed a truly truly special player here. Fucking Chelsea almost destroyed a gem.
