It’s funny you mention this, as I’ve just come back from dinner with a Chelsea friend who says that Havertz is a waste of space, goes missing often in games and is a ghost like player with zero to little resilience/character. They are laughing when we paid £65m for him.
The problem is that this is the general consensus from most Chelsea fans I speak to. They have greater authority of watching him for 3 years albeit in at times dysfunctional teams.
He also said his CL winning goal was sheer luck as he over hit the ball but got lucky with how it hit Ederson’s body and the rest was an open goal.
He did say that he could be a ‘players player’ and does things a regular fan wouldn’t see which players/coaches would admire but not sure about this.
Arteta reputation and the trust he has built with fans could be questioned if he keeps playing Kai and he keeps underperforming (yes, I know it’s only 3 games but every game counts in a title race). Let’s hope he proves most of us wrong.
I’ve said my piece on him now, will give him to end of October to sort it out so won’t be posting on this thread until then as don’t want to sound like a broken record (unless he does amazing in the meantime).
