He’s done well but he’s at the best run club in England. A lot of managers would get similar results.

Also, he is playing with no pressure. We saw what happened to Potter when he had to play with pressure.

They lost all their top players, played with misfits that other clubs casted out like Welbeck, Lallana, Dahoud, Veltman, Steele and absolutely tore United apart.

A good coach with vision and a distinct style is everything. Players are just their enablers to execute their brains and play to the style prepared.

Clrnc also impressed by their rotation. They routinely bring new players in — vs United they were without Encisio (long term), Estupian (traveling back from int.) and Marsch.

I think tearing United apart is a bit much, United were all over them for the first 25 mins, the first goal came well against the run of play. In fact they were extremely clinical in going 3-0 up, I think they'd only generated 0.5xG at that point.

De Zebri is very good though, can't see him staying there for long. Hopefully he goes abroad rather than to a rival.

The mancs are plagued by injuries and players gone due to off-field issues but ETH keeps trying to push the square backup pegs into the vacated round holes.

Yeah, that's just them stylistically though, they pass it around the back to death until the opposition losses patience and gets drawn out. Especially against United who play on the counter, you knew before the game they'd dominate possession. I was actually surprised United had as much of the ball as they did before the first goal.

Interestingly we seemed to have moved towards this style of play more this season vs being quite direct last year, especially away from home. It was notable how we killed the atmosphere at both Palace and Everton by hogging the ball.

I think their style is more pleasing to watch. They are not as predictable as we are and their spacing and structure, in my opinion, is superior. He's an excellent coach, de Zerbi. Would like to see him at a bigger club to see if the style translates. He doesn't seem to have the self doubt and lack of authority that appeared to plague Potter.

Clrnc they get everyone to do it too. I couldn't believe the way Potter and then DeZerbi had Shane Duffy passing the ball, he's your typical relegation fodder big, strong hoofer but they had him playing it out like John Stones. When he moved to Celtic fora season he went to absolute shit. If you can play decently in the PL for Brighton but fall apart for Celtic against SPL players thats all down to the coaching.
