Wonder if there's anything in contract law or in the specific language of Simons' contract that prevents Simons, Arsenal and PSG from coming to a legally binding agreement on a three-way transaction where PSG executes the €12m release clause then Arsenal pays PSG €20-25m or so (just to make up some number).

I’ve liked the look of him each time I’ve seen him, thought he looked far more dangerous than Gapko. Very young too.

Maddison for his goal threat and set piece ability

Think he'd make marginally more sense as he looks seriously impressive for his age and maybe more versatile, but then Maddison is proven in the league so more of a sure thing. I'd be happy with either.

He's a goal machine from midfield. No idea if he can replicate this form outside NL but he is certainly one of the best in the country. Players with this kind of output from midfield are very rare so for that reason alone I would take a punt on him if the price is not unreasonable.

He was also excellent when we played PSV. A constant menace. Surprised he's only 20.
