Ramsdale was fucking shit for their first and last goal.

He’s a good shot stopper overall but not elite GK. We need to look at this in the summer also if we want to get out of our CL group stage.

The fact he hasn’t saved one pen is also a huge red flag for a keeper too.

Too much bravado and not enough concentration. Another Arsenal player that has been hyped up by fans.

Claudius We lacked confidence and Arteta got schooled tactically: Guardiola decided to build up with 4 players instead of his usual 3, they sucked us in and hit it long to Haaland. Our midfielders/defenders were always at sea, which made it very easy for City to slice through us at will. The 1st City goal was a perfect illustration of their game plan. We were very lucky not to be 4-0 down by the 40th minute and just when it looked like we were going into the break 1-0 down, they scored from a set piece that looked offside to me.

I became very disinterested in the match after their 3rd goal went in as it was a very tough watch. We were totally outclassed but I remain convinced the gap isn't as big as it looked tonight. They played us at the perfect time (from their perspective) and have the much better manager tactically. Hopefully this will be a good learning experience for Arteta.

Tactics I remain convinced the gap isn't as big as it looked tonight.

In terms of how much of a mismatch it was, it certainly felt worse than other recent matches against them. We were really starved of opportunities.

Fuck City indeed but if wasn’t for them the likes of Man Utd would be a lot more dangerous/relevant. I still want City to win the FA Cup final against them. Also we must thank City for beating Spurs in Carabao Cup finals etc.

Long balls have been a massive weakness for us, basically since Everton beat us. It completely bypasses our press. We lost every single one of those duels tonight, to the point where they were able to actually bring it down: That’s definitely something that needs to be addressed.

Burnwinter yeah agree, that game could have been 6 or 7 and it wouldn't have been an unfair reflection. We are miles away from them and they aren't going away so you want to win the league you have to outperform them and they will probably got another 90 plus season in future. Add for us is this going to be the high point of our recent seasons?

Arteta going toe to toe with Man City while having a player this poor in his back line showed how naive and inexperienced he still is.

You can tell the players thought it was inevitable too.

There was a moment where Silva was running across the byline. I saw Haaland in space in the box for an AGE while Silva carried it. Holding and especially Gabriel only reacted when Silva passed the ball. This is Haaland we’re talking about, and you’re leaving him in space?

That sort of ball watching brain freeze happened all over the pitch, we press, but Xhaka is a few steps behind because he forgot he has a job to do too.

There was another moment where Zinchenko got the ball and Jesus just stopped running. No one else moved to support. Just watch him and see what he can do against 2 defenders.

Position yourself in a dangerous area in space? No, I’m going to drop back deep into space.

We need to learn how to do the basics regardless of how we’re feeling. It needs to be imprinted to the extent that we do it even better when the stakes are high.

What are the odds that we look great against Chelsea next week? I wouldn’t bet against it.
