I feel the subs are untainted by the chasing gruel and high stress moments of pressure from the last 3 games. Really think that takes more than a week to recover both physically and mentally. Not only were dropped points a disaster from the last 3 games, but I feel this compound effect also left the starters too strained for this h2h opportunity to stay top. Thats my theory anyway to explain the static positions, loose passes, inhibition, gaps and distances between lines.

Clrnc klopp took 18 months to learn to modify his gegenpressing style to last a full season. maybe this title challenge came a year too early before arteta could learn these lessons, because theres been a litany of missteps that are fine if yourw chasing top 4 - but not if yourw chasing a title. feels like we really need a few more players with quality, durability and leadership to make artetas approach viable for a title run.

We were on a seven game winning run until Pool. Two of them were dominant 4-1 wins with Holding in the side. We went 2-0 up in our next two games too. We haven't been at our best in every game but what title winning side doesn't scrap it out. We forgot how to scrap it out till the end. It's a tame ending to a promising season but there was nothing artificial about our position. Our inexperience showed. Never in the history of the Premier League has a side with the youngest average age won the title.

It's not even that we bottled today or the entire league. They beat us fair and square. We were never going to win this. Our squad has no right being where it is at the moment.

I'm more irritated by Artetas choices leading up to this point. After getting us so far, he went back to his stubborn ways when under pressure. Is he a one trick pony? Where's the tactical changes and personnel changes? Trossard is a clear breath of fresh air in a front line that looks exhausted. He keeps saying we're not tired but it's clear. Saka hit a brick wall. Saliba was killed for his sins. It pisses me off

invisibleman18 I think the worst thing for me is that all the great memories of this season don't matter anymore. The wins over Spurs, the late win against United, Jorghino against Villa, Nelson vs Bournemouth etc. Instead of being moments we relive for decades to come they get confined to the scrapheap of moments that ultimately didn't make any difference.

I know it is a bit sad but need to do it over the whole season with no shit games for it to mean anything.

At least we can also confine the shit games to the scrapheap.
