Yes. Don't come the raw prawn. The Martinelli comment was the quid pro quo for your portentous jab about me having differences of opinion with "the Arsenal first team staff" or whatever. I was pointing out you also differ with Arsenal's leadership on various topics, as we all do.
You're not unknown to leave your foot in occasionally and I can read.
Anyway, how can I contend with this?
Burnwinter I'm not even singling Xhaka out here
RocktheCasbah I just happen to think singling Xhaka out for nothing much really yesterday is a bit rich
As I've said, I'm not singling Xhaka out. All I've done is respond with my genuine opinion of the player when you started telling me I was out of line.
Xhaka had a good match against Newcastle, big step up from most of his recent efforts. But Xhaka is a poor leader. Good leadership is a subtle thing, but it relies the most on two factors: a positive mindset, and consistent, predictable output. Xhaka lacks these factors: his temper's wild and his football is up and down. No amounts of parochialism or passion compensate. I get a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach when he's getting into it with the opposition because I know he can't handle himself. Zinchenko also lacks these traits, but then no one's in there defending him.
