goon Minimum 15 league goals and with that he'd need to be racking up assists and pressing like a demon the way he was at the start of the season. I'm not sure Jesus was "on track" so much as he was in one of his purple patches. Seen it at City enough where he'd have a short run and then go missing. He was already on a 7 games goalless run before the WC, though his overall game was still there. After the injury his overall game was gone and he didn't score enough. 15 plus goals would be Jesus best ever season too, nothing this season is out of the ordinary for him, he played his usual number of minutes, scored a usual amount of goals and undershot his xg as usual. We can hope he has a great season and all this changes next season but there is little to no evidence for it. Add in CL and I think we will struggle if we only have him and Eddie up front.
I like Jesus, I'd happily keep him in the squad, he's versatile and can cover the whole front line. I just wish we had a marquee striker too. Someone you can rely to get goals instead of crying every-time one of our 21 year old wingers doesn't net.
